Launy – Terms of Service

Acceptance of the Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are entered into by and between you and Launy (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms govern your access to and use of the launy.com website (and related domains), including all text, content, photographs, images, audio, graphics, software, and any services provided (“Website”), as well as Launy’s weekly and/or on-demand laundry services (“Services”) and related mobile applications (“Applications”). Collectively, these are referred to as the “Launy Platform.”

Please read these Terms carefully. By using any part of the Launy Platform or agreeing to these Terms when prompted, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy (available at https://www.launy.com/privacy/). If you do not agree, you must not use the Launy Platform.

The Services are available only to users aged 18 or older residing in the United States. By using the Services, you confirm you meet these requirements. If you do not, you may not access or use the Services.

Changes to the Terms of Service

We may update these Terms at our sole discretion. Changes take effect immediately upon posting and apply to all subsequent access and use of the Launy Platform. By continuing to use the Launy Platform, you agree to any updates. Please review these Terms periodically.

The Services

You can schedule Services through the Website or Applications. Once scheduled, Launy or an independent contractor will provide the Services.

Ownership, Licenses, and Limitations

Proprietary Rights: Launy owns all intellectual property rights in the Launy Platform. You agree not to modify, reproduce, or use any content or trademarks from the Launy Platform without explicit permission. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
Limited License: Subject to compliance with these Terms, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Launy Platform for personal, non-commercial purposes. Redistribution or modification is strictly prohibited.

Use of Services

User Requirements and Conduct: To use the Launy Platform, you must create and maintain an active personal user account (“Account”). You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Launy reserves the right to suspend access if account information is incomplete or outdated. Users under 18 may use the Services only under supervision. You are responsible for securing your account credentials.
Prohibited Activities: You agree not to:
- Violate intellectual property rights.
- Misrepresent your identity or create multiple accounts.
- Use the Services for unlawful purposes.
- Interfere with the operation of the Launy Platform.

Pricing and Fees

Minimum Charges: A minimum order price applies to all Services, as disclosed on our pricing page. Prices are subject to change without prior notice.
Payment: Fees will be charged using the preferred payment method on your Account. Payments are final and non-refundable unless determined otherwise by Launy.

Damaged or Lost Items

Damaged Items: While we take utmost care in handling garments, Launy is not responsible for pre-existing conditions or inherent defects in materials. Damages must be reported within 24 hours of delivery. Liability is limited to 10 times the cost of cleaning the item, with a maximum of $200.
Lost Items: Missing items must be reported within 24 hours of delivery. Liability for lost items is capped at $200 per order, with a maximum of $25 per single item.

Pick-Up and Delivery

Launy aims for seamless service but is not responsible for items left in unsecured or unattended locations. Missed pickups may incur a regionally specific fee.

Online Communications

You are responsible for the accuracy and integrity of any content you submit to the Launy Platform. Launy reserves the right to remove inappropriate content and cooperate with legal authorities as needed.

Restrictions

You agree not to:

Attempt unauthorized access to the Launy Platform.
Use automated tools to scrape or interfere with the Services.
Violate any applicable laws or infringe on others’ rights.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Launy Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

Termination

Launy reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the Launy Platform for any violation of these Terms. Further, we may seek remedies for unlawful or prohibited use.
